Kate Herlihy is a rare bird nesting in Berkeley, California with her bright and beautiful baby wren and wonderful mate and confidant. Inspired by plate tectonics, alchemy, tarot, I Ching divination, walking the garden path, nighttime strolls, the forest, copper, silver, brass, lace, stones, film noir, the old west, victorian fashion, cafe au lait, red wine, incense, road trips, flea markets, textiles, temples, offerings, altars, love letters, faraway places, literature, snake charmers, fortune tellers, visionaries, shamans, the whiff of perfume from a stranger, overhearing snippits of conversations in dressing rooms, cafes and street corners, the light at the end of the day, ancestors, feathers, birds, canyons, storms, cussing, rocks, mountains, murals, bright colors, repainting furniture, antique stores, bears, new experiences, ghost stories, accents, piers, fog, sunshine, rain dripping from the bows of the trees,  birth, death and everything in between. This blog is where she casts spells and records her latest invocations and concoctions.
