California Gold Rush

Prospecting for gold? Hitching an ox to a wagon to hoist yourself over a Sierra pass? This necklace is inspired by the old west, but it feels very modern with the chain and twisted wire. The chunky pieces of pyrite (Fool's Gold!) are rugged and irregular, but the vivacity of the stones brings sophistication. The wearer of this piece will most likely feel at home and protected in the mountains and ill at ease and vulnerable in the great expanses of the prairie.

This necklace measures 19 inches, and the gunmetal plated chain is made up of  round and oval links. The stones are pyrite.
